Why MuckMount Was Built for the Trades — And Why That Matters

When people ask what makes MuckMount different from every other soap on the shelf, the answer isn't a catchy slogan or a marketing gimmick.

It's much simpler than that.

MuckMount was built by one person with a clear purpose—and a deep respect for the people who keep our world running.

Today, MuckMount is still a small operation. I design the packaging, work with manufacturers, build the website, write the articles, pack the orders, and shape the direction of the brand. I bring in talented professionals when needed, but there are no departments or corporate committees making decisions.

Every detail reflects one vision: build a product that earns people's trust.

That vision didn't begin in a boardroom.

It began through my work as a rehabilitation counselor.

Over the years, I've spent countless hours inside technical colleges, meeting instructors and students who are preparing for careers in the skilled trades. Those experiences gave me a level of respect I never expected.

Walking through an HVAC lab is something to see. Students troubleshoot complex refrigeration systems, electrical controls, pressure gauges, and equipment that most people never think about until something stops working.

The welding booths are filled with precision, sparks, and craftsmanship.

The carpentry shops smell like fresh-cut lumber.

The automotive bays are full of technicians elbow-deep in engines, diagnosing problems that would leave most of us completely lost.

Although I've never considered myself especially handy—I can manage basic home repairs and use a drill—I walked away from those experiences with something much more valuable than technical knowledge.

I walked away with respect.

Because the truth is, most people rarely stop to think about who keeps life moving.

Who restores the heat in the middle of winter.

Who builds our homes.

Who repairs our vehicles.

Who wires our businesses.

Who keeps factories operating.

Who climbs poles, crawls through crawl spaces, welds steel, pours concrete, and solves problems the rest of us never even see.

These aren't just jobs.

They're the foundation of modern life.

Without skilled tradespeople, our communities simply don't function.

That's why MuckMount exists.

Not as a marketing angle.

Not because "blue-collar" sounds good in an advertisement.

But because I genuinely believe hardworking people deserve products built with the same pride, craftsmanship, and attention to detail they bring to their work every single day.

You'll see that respect in the rugged design of the Journeyman bar.

You'll feel it in a formula designed to tackle real dirt, grease, sweat, and grime—not simply look attractive sitting on a bathroom shelf.

This isn't boutique soap created to impress with fancy packaging.

It's soap built to perform.

To lather well.

To clean thoroughly.

To last.

To be something you look forward to using after a long shift, a tough workout, or a day spent earning your paycheck.

That's what makes MuckMount different.

It isn't pretending to understand hardworking people.

It was built because of them.

As long as I'm leading this company, that mission won't change.

Because the people who build, repair, weld, install, maintain, carry, climb, and create deserve products built with the same pride they bring to their craft.

If MuckMount earns a place in your daily routine, I hope it's because you can tell there are real values behind the brand—and a genuine appreciation for the work you do.

Thank you for giving MuckMount a chance.
